four months

What?!?!?  I have a 4 month old!  Yep, indeed.  My Bear Cub is no longer a newborn, but an infant!  Although I miss the itty bitty newborn stage, it is so much fun watching Brady change and grow everyday! He is just so much fun right now...smiling, laughing, blowing bubbles, cooing...I love it! He is just an absolute joy!

The morning time is my favorite time of day with him.  After his early morning feeding, I keep him in my bed. I usually will doze off, but Brady will grunt away until I wake up. He is so playful in the mornings!  Smiling, laughing, blowing bubbles, singing, and grunting are part of our morning ritual!  He sometimes will girdle a "c" sound in his mouth and it's just so stinking cute! He especially loves it when I sing him the Good Morning Song.

Today we had his 4 month appointment.  Of course he flirted with the nurse and Dr. Chen!  He's sweet with the ladies! Big Bear is 16 lbs 15 oz and 25.5 inches.  He also got his 4 month shots and barely cried!  Tough kid, I have!

Brady at 4 months:
-eating 5 oz every 3 hours during the day.  We made the switch from Similac to Enfamil Gentlease and his tummy issues seem to be better
-he is finally sleeping through the night! hooray!  His last feeding is anywhere between 7:30 - 9:00 pm and then we put him down in his crib.  Little guy won't stir until about 5:00 - 6:00 am.  Mama and Daddy are finally getting sleep!
-he loves to be held over the shoulder and grab onto my shirt, hair, or necklace
-he kicks his legs and laughs when I put him on the changing table to change him
-sticks his tongue out
-has a very high pitch squeal and scream that he lets out if he is not happy
-loves the outdoors!  loves going for walks and loves the wind at his face
-is attached to his Wubbabnub!  He needs it to sleep and once he is asleep, he will spit it out and keep it near him
-loves eskimo kisses
-his favorite song is The Muppets "Songs about Rainbows"
-sits up with minimal assistance
-recognizes Mama and Daddy and will smile when we come into view
-loves his hands and tries so hard to stick his whole fist in his mouth
-loves going to Mass and smiles and coos during the Creed
-so close to rolling over!

Take me out to the ball game...

This past Sunday, Mike and I took Brady to his very first baseball game!  He slept through most of the game, but that's beside the point!  Mike's beloved Tigers were in town playing the Astros, so we decided to catch the Sunday game at 4:00 pm.

Blue skies, 70 degree weather, sunshine, and Detroit Tigers fans everywhere you looked...all ingredients for a happy husband and a perfect afternoon.  And to top it off, the Tigers won!  Brady did such a great job at the game!  We had him in his stroller initially, but then we carried him in the Bjorn once we checked our stroller in.  Brady was really hamming it up for all the admirers who were loving on him and giving him attention. That kid!  He loves attention!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my Michigan Man!

On April 30, 2011, I married the most amazing man!  He is the sweetest, most caring, and most faithful man I know!  Our first two years have been filled with so much travel, adventure, fun, joy, and laughter! Thank you for being a wonderful husband, and even more, thank you for being such a wonderful Daddy to our Bear!

Having Mike and his guy friends serenade "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" a la Top Gun style to me was pretty memorable too!  Such a fun night!
